Where is my data?

In the app's data folder (library, progress, settings, cache, logs) and your download folder. Uninstalling does not delete them. See Where your data is.

How do I uninstall completely?

Uninstall the app, then delete the data folder and your download folder. Make a backup first if you may come back.

What takes up space?

Mostly downloaded chapters and the page cache. Settings, Data & storage shows what each uses, with buttons to open the folders, set the page cache size and clear it. Covers of manga outside your library are cached apart and can be cleared; library covers stay.

What is in a backup?

Library, categories, chapter read status, bookmarks and progress, history, reading statistics, per-manga reader settings, custom covers, repositories, installed extensions with their settings, and app settings. Not downloaded chapters, caches or passwords. See Backups.

How do I move to another computer?

Make a backup on the old one, install Matane on the new one, add the same repositories and restore with Merge. See Moving to a new computer.

How do I clear the history without losing progress?

Settings, Data & storage, Clear history. Progress and read chapters stay. Clear statistics resets reading time and sessions.
